Meet Our Staff

Our ministerial staff is led by senior pastor Karl Divine-Koch, a graduate of Wartburg Seminary in Dubuque, Iowa, and former campus pastor at California State University in Fresno and Iowa State University in Ames. After serving as interim associate pastor at Zion Lutheran Church in Iowa City, he accepted the call the Gloria Dei in May 2000. E-mail Pastor Divine-Koch

 

Gloria Dei is a partner congregation with Lutheran Campus Ministry, led by UI Campus Pastor Rob Dotzel. Pastor Dotzel is a graduate of Trinity Lutheran Seminary in Columbus, Ohio. In addition to Campus Ministry, Pastor Rob serves part-time at Gloria Dei and teaches religion at Kirkwood Community College. E-mail Pastor Dotzel.


Pam Larabee-Zierath, an associate in ministry of the ELCA, is Minister of Congregational Life. She received a Master’s degree of Theological Studies from Trinity Lutheran Seminary in Columbus, Ohio, and a certificate for contemplative prayer group leadership from Shalem Institute in Baltimore, Maryland. Adventureland

Friday, June 1. Youth Committee is subsidizing the rate ($10 per person). Departure at 8:15 a.m., return by 7:30. Sign up on the table outside the church office..

 

Garage sale

Sat., June 9: Proceeds support the summer Youth gathering. Donated items for the sale now being accepted at the church.

 

Cubs trip

vs. New York Mets on Wed., June 27. Depart 6 a.m., return 10:30 p.m. $60 per person. Sign up on the table outside the church office.
